Wine-Maker Notes and Photos of August

As we look forward to the upcoming Harvest months ahead, we wanted to share some of the unique notes and photos taken by our very own wine-maker Wade Stark throughout the month of August. It's was a wet start to the year, but August was a hot and sunny month! We're looking forward, with our fingers crossed, for more great weather in September.

August 5th: "Sauvignon blanc 'sprawl' canopy management in a Council's Punch Bowl Block on Black Sage Rd."

August 5th: "Wild horses overlooking the very same Sauv Blanc sprawl."

August 19th: "I believe this is a Robin's home amongst the vines in our Naramata vineyards."

August 24th: "Just about at veraison in the Pinot Noir today in West Kelowna."

Feast of Fields Lower Mainland - A Delightful Day in Delta

What an awesome Sunday! Sure it was a little grey and a LOT windy at times, but spirits we're definitely high as a sold out crowd turned up to enjoy some of the best food and wine the Lower Mainland has to offer, all the while raising money to aid FarmFolk/CityFolk’s work throughout the province.

A huge thanks to the huge array of people who stopped by our booth to check out some Prospect wines. We brought with us four wines we're very proud of: Fats Johnson Pinot Noir, Red Willow Shiraz, Ogopogo's Lair Pinot Grigio and Larch Tree Hill Reisling.

There were almost too many great foods to be sampled in one afternoon (though we sure tried) with delicacies from Coast, Bao Bei, Two Chefs And A Table, The Pointe Restaurant and so many more.
